Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) for the Construction Materials Testing (CMT) department in our Richmond, Virginia office.
CMT APM's are responsible for field supervision of field technicians, performing observations and testing related to Special Inspections during site work and building construction, and preparation of final reports.
APM’s work with Project Managers to coordinate personnel and equipment, and work with technical experts required to complete the assigned projects.
CMT APM’s also collaborate with clients, project managers, subcontractors and other management entities on issues to ensure requirements are met and that problems are resolved efficiently.
Must have the ability to lift up to 60lbs regularly.
Assistant Project Manager candidates should also have :
- 2-4 years of CMT experience required
- WACEL certifications in soil, concrete, foundations, and structural steel
- VDOT and WACEL fireproofing and structural masonry certifications are a plus (but not required)
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent plan reading skills
- Ability to effectively coordinate projects and staff
- Good driving record, valid driver's license and your own vehicle
