Security Officer - Morning Shift

As a Security Officer - Morning Shift in Skokie, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence to support a secure environment. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, assisting visitors, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate : $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Mon 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Tue 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Fri 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Sun 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall property and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or hazards encountered during patrols.
  • Assist visitors, tenants, and / or staff with directions or information as needed.
  • Support Allied Universal management and local authorities during emergency situations or evacuations.
  • Document and communicate all security-related incidents and activities according to established protocols.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
