A local plastic fabrication manufacturer is now hiring an extrusion operator on night shift.
Ma chine Operator Shift :
- Train for a few weeks on day shift 8am-8pm on a 2x2x3 rotating schedule.
- Original schedule is 8pm-8am on a 2x2x3 rotating schedule.
Ma chine Operator Responsibilities :
- Monitor the operation of assigned machine(s) ensuring product adheres to company standards of safety, quality, and throughput.
- Continuously monitor machine operation to ensure accurate product measurements and quality are being maintained.
- Set up and adjust rewinders, operate core cutting machine, vacuum lift, and pallet jack.
- Enter production reporting data into the machine computer accurately.
- Perform housekeeping throughout the assigned shift to ensure an orderly and safe environment.
- Adhere to the highest standards of company safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations, including all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor / team lead.
Machine Operator Qualifications :
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work instructions and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture.
- Minimum 1 year manufacturing / extrusion operating preferred
- Ability to take coaching well and communicates respectfully with others to ensure a positive teamwork culture
- Capability to lift heavy objects consistently, adhering to safety guidelines.
M achine Operator Pay :
$15 / hr.
