Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing electrical systems, ensuring their efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
This role involves collaborating with other engineers, architects, and stakeholders to develop and implement electrical designs for various projects.
Key Responsibilities :
Electrical Design and Development :
- Create detailed electrical designs, schematics, and layouts for various projects.
- Develop and review technical specifications and drawings for electrical systems.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Project Coordination :
Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and other team members to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
Documentation and Reporting :
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for all design activities, including design calculations, reports, and change orders.
- Present design concepts and progress reports to clients, leadership, and project teams.
Compliance and Quality Assurance :
- Ensure all electrical designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance procedures.
- Stay updated with advancements in electrical engineering practices and technologies.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience : 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in commercial construction (multifamily, student housing, hotel, etc)
Skills :
- Proficiency in electrical design software such as Revit and AutoCad
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Certifications : Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus but not required. Salary range would be adjusted if the person is a registered PE.
