Position Overview : We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Development and Sales Intern to join our team. This paid internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in lead generation, seller prospecting, and recruiting within the context of a business brokerage.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in using tools such as HubSpot , LinkedIn , and other social media platforms. As an intern, you'll have the chance to observe and contribute to various aspects of our business, gaining insights into how all areas of a brokerage come together.

Responsibilities / Opportunities :

  • Lead Generation :
  • Research and identify potential leads and prospects.
  • Utilize HubSpot and other tools to track and manage leads.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective lead generation strategies.
  • Seller Prospecting :
  • Identify and engage potential sellers in the market.
  • Leverage LinkedIn and other social media channels to connect with potential clients.
  • Assist in creating compelling pitches and presentations for seller outreach.
  • Recruiting :
  • Support the recruitment process by identifying and reaching out to potential candidates.
  • Assist in scheduling interviews and coordinating recruitment efforts.
  • Learn about the skills and qualities required for success in the brokerage industry.
  • Business Brokerage Exposure :
  • Gain a holistic understanding of how different functions within a brokerage work together.
  • Attend team meetings, observe negotiations, and learn about deal structures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to enhance your knowledge.

Qualifications :

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Business, Marketing, Sales, or related fields).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using HubSpot, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms (or willingness to learn).
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn about the business brokerage industry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duration : This internship is a 6 week (minimum) position, with the possibility of extension based on performance.

Location : Minneapolis, MN
