CLASS A CDL Driver
Sparks, NV
$25.00 per hour
Duties :
- Safely operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and refrigerated trailers
- Transport goods and materials over long distances, following all traffic laws and regulations
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in proper working order
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
Experience :
- Minimum of X years of commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with appropriate endorsements (e.g., tanker, heavy equipment operation)
- Proficient in operating trucks with manual transmissions
- Familiarity with load securement techniques and regulations
- Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and compliance requirements
Skills :
- Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record
- Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or other routing systems
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and perform manual labor tasks as needed
- Exceptional time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
