A law firm in Glendale, CA, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting discovery, preparing legal documents, and handling personal injury-related tasks.
The role involves collaborating with senior attorneys to provide top-notch legal counsel, preparing legal documents, managing cases, and participating in court proceedings.
The successful candidate will have prior experience in personal injury law and strong negotiation and litigation skills.
Duties :
- Draft discovery documents and prepare legal documents including complaints, briefs, motions, and discovery requests.
- Conduct depositions and participate in other discovery-related activities.
- Handle case management, updating client files with meticulous attention to detail.
- Assist in trial preparation and attend court proceedings, hearings, and mediations.
- Provide legal counsel to clients throughout the personal injury claims process.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
- Work closely with senior attorneys on complex legal matters and case strategy.
- Maintain detailed and accurate client records.
Requirements :
- 2+ years of experience in personal injury law.
- Prior experience in managing cases from inception through settlement or trial.
- Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
- Ability to collaborate with senior attorneys and handle complex legal matters.
Education :
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications :
Active member of the State Bar in good standing.
