Kistler Instrument Corporation is looking for a Medical Device Business Development Manager to join our team and lead our efforts in the Life Sciences industry across Southern California and the Western US territory.
While this is a remote position, candidates must be based in the Irvine, California area.
As the Medical Business Development Manager, you'll be at the forefront of targeting Pharmaceutical & Medical Device Manufacturers and their supply chains.
You'll collaborate with external consultants, identify key projects, provide expert application advice, and work closely with our Sales team to sell our innovative products.

Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with outside consultants and engage in meetings with potential clients to grow and maintain networks within the Life Sciences industry.
- Identify potential clients and decision-makers, working closely with the Sales Manager to penetrate Medical OEMs and manufacturers.
- Develop and implement sales strategies for the Medical Device market in North America.
- Continuously identify new application opportunities and market requirements, consulting with experts to create specialized solutions.
- Conduct competitive analysis to inform sales and marketing strategies.
- Lead and coordinate local medical device initiatives, supporting growth in the Life Sciences sector.
- Participate in industry trade shows and manage follow-ups on inquiries generated.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited four-year college; master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in technical sales and marketing in the medical device and related industries.
- Proven success in business development, technical sales, sales executive, or a relevant role in the Medical Device or related industry.
- Understanding of regulations and requirements associated with Medical Device Manufacturing where company products are used.
- Market knowledge and analytical capability.
- Knowledge of Process Automation and Process Monitoring applications is a plus.
- Familiarity with sensors, electronics, software, and communication protocols is a plus.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time, including airline travel and occasional international trips for meetings and training.
- A current and valid driver’s license and passport are required.
