JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
The Center for Arts and Crafts at Penn State seeks to hire part-time, art class / workshop Instructors for adults during fall, spring and / or summer semesters.
Applicants preferred are Penn State students in the College of Arts and Architecture or those with a strong art background.
Instructors are responsible for assisting with creating and implementing art lessons and projects, and managing supplies.
Classes meet once a week for a few hours in the evenings during six-week sessions. Individual workshops meet once or twice for a few hours depending on topic.
Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills required. Must have strong customer service skills, and be a self-starter.
To be considered for this position, you must submit a resume including your experience in art and any teaching experience, and cover letter stating the types of art classes or workshops that you are interested in instructing.
You may be asked to submit a portfolio.
