Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department
The Clinical Nurse II in the Adult Emergency Department is responsible for assessing, coordinating, planning, directing, implementing and managing the needs of assigned patients throughout the care process.
This includes overseeing patient progress toward discharge and ensuring competent, compassionate care is provided consistently to all patients.
The role involves implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, procedures, and special tests, as well as providing primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- BLS / ACLS / PALS / TNCC certification
- 1-3 years of previous clinical nursing experience in an Emergency Department
- Ability to improve job performance through continuing education
- Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques
