Job Summary

The role involves assembling and testing photocopiers and printers prior to delivery to client premises.

As a PDI Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for the "Pre Delivery Inspection" of photocopiers and printers, which includes completing the build and configuration of devices to meet business and client demands.

This is a production environment that can be fast-paced at times. The candidate should have a good level of physical fitness and technical knowledge.

  • Unboxing and assembly of devices.
  • Fitting peripherals.
  • Upgrading firmware.
  • Initialising and calibration.
  • Setting up date / time / location.
  • Applying required Apogee & manufacturer settings.
  • Testing device and peripherals functionality.
  • Configuring devices as per client requirements.
  • Re-boxing / preparing devices for transportation.
  • Completing paperwork and updating department software platforms.
  • Maintaining workshop housekeeping standards.

Experience and Skills Required

  • Experience in a warehouse / production environment.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; good computer skills.
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, and level-headed.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job.
