Registered Nurse (RN) - Minor Treatment & Endoscopy

Summary

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Registered Nurses :

• Registered Nurses - New Grads to 3 years of experience : $10,000 (full time)
• Registered Nurses with more than 3 years of experience : $20,000 (full time)

Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

MINOR TREATMENT & ENDOSCOPY

Full Time; 40 hrs

Minimum of 3 years nursing experience. Preferably in the procedural, ED, or IP.

ACLS required

On-call responsibilities weeknights and weekends

Endoscopy experience preferred. Previous experience in procedural areas such as IR, ED, or OR is also ideal.

Conscious sedation occasionally required to provide monitoring and medication administration.

Experience in Endoscopy, conscious sedation, ED or ICU is ideal

ACLS required

To be successful in this role candidates must have strong critical thinking skills and previous experience preferably in Emergency or SCU departments.

Procedure room experience is ideal, administering medications and monitoring patients throughout procedures!

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for performance of complex, individualized, family oriented nursing care in accordance with policies and procedures under the direct supervision of a charge / shift leader RN.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education : N / A
• License / Certifications : Current licensure from the Maine State Board of Nursing as an R.N. required. BSN preferred.

BLS and ability to perform CPR required. ACLS preferred.

Experience : Minimum of one year's acute care experience as an R.N. preferred.
