About The Position
Job Title : Radiologic Technologist Job Specialty : Radiology X-Ray Job Duration : 12 months Shift : 12-hour shifts, 1 : 00 PM - 1 : 00 AM (7 days on / 7 days off) with required call Guaranteed Hours : 36 / 48 hours rotating every two weeks Experience : Minimum of 2 years License : Texas Radiologic Technologist license Certifications : BLS, ARRT Must-Have : Must be a motivated individual Job Description : Perform general X-Ray duties as outlined by the radiology department.
- Operate within a department with 4 rooms, 5 c-arms, and 2 fluoro surgical suites.- Common types of imaging include XR, Fluoro, and surgery cases.
- Utilize Meditech for EMR and Synapse for PACS.- Work with equipment from GE, Siemens, and Dornier for XR and Fluoro, and GE, Siemens, and Philips for C-arms.
- Rarely start IVs when applicable.- Adhere to the departmental dress code : black scrubs (not provided).- Complete on-the-job orientation.
- Be available for weekend and holiday shifts if scheduled.- Participate in on-call duties from 5 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM, two days in the 36-hour week.
- Respond to intra-departmental calls as necessary.- Supervised by Radiology Supervisor or Lead Technologist.Note : Hospital may cancel up to three times per contract, with full or partial shift cancellation options.
