Senior Software Engineer
Position Summary
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for creating and maintating software and reusable software components.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop new software products and services.
- Write, analyze, review and rewrite program applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic;
provide support during documentation and deployment.
- Maintain legacy application and databases.
- Diagnose software related problems and make improvements.
- Develop required specifications for problems of all complexity levels.
- Analyze, resolve and document solutions to complex technical problems related to software development.
- Work to identify and resolve likely points of failure in hardware, software, processes or roles related to delivering information technoloty services to internal and external clients.
Education & Experience
Knowledge of :
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent inter-personal skills
- NET programming including ASP.NET, ADO.NET, .NET Web Services, Visual Studio.NET, T SQL, Visual Basic.NET
- Relational database modeling, specifically with SQL Server
- Is a widely acknowledged subject matter expert in several key areas of critical technology to the software development team.
I.E. web front-ends, databases, data warehousing, JavaScript, APIs, Single Sign On, Security, IIS, ASP.Net)
Ability to :
- Demonstrate effective problem solving / analysis
- Take independent action within established options and develops new procedures and approaches to problems when necessary
- Analyze assignments based on a wide knowledge of many factors where application of advanced or technical concepts are required
- Deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-given environment that requires ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Perform duties and make decisions under frequent time pressures
Education and Training :
- Requires Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field or equivalent.
- Requires 7 or more years of related work or industry related experience.
- Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office.
