Environmental Manager
Trinity's Client is a in industry leader in carbon and coating solutions. This position is for interim consulting support for Title V air permitting and compliance in addition to water and waste as needed for an estimated six months.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to :
- Perform a variety of environmental managerial work to facilitate and maintain compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and permits through explanation of permit terms and regulatory obligations, leadership, training and team building;
- Recommend appropriate action to assure conformance with federal, state, and municipal legislation and regulations regarding environmental or operational controls to minimize pollution;
- Coordinate, schedule and manage testing of emissions and pollution control equipment;
- Direct and manage consultants on environmental projects;
- Serve as liaison between the organization and regulatory agencies regarding environmental inspections, permits, and reporting;
- Oversee all environmental projects and reporting for a region;
- Review all draft permits, final permits and regulations that affect the business for that region;
- Assist in developing effective neighbor relations strategies and communications and other duties as assigned by management.
Qualified candidates will have :
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in related discipline;
- 3+ years environmental experience in either heavy industry, while containing a broad knowledge of Environmental Laws and Regulations;
- Strong computer skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Internet skills;
- Strong time management, multi-tasking, problem solving and decision making skills;
- Strong organizational, project management and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated history of continually improving technical & professionals skills (involved in attending workshops, seminars, etc.
- in environmental management, and professional development);
- Ability to work closely with plant managers, staff members, supervisors, team leaders, hourly associates, contractors, and federal / state regulators;
- Effectively support and communicate environmental performance and reporting needs to all levels of plant and corporate management.
