About The Position
- Job Title : Surgical Tech Job Specialty : OR RN - Operating Room Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day - 4x10 - 7am - 5pm Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years;
- Prefer seasoned traveler with a well-rounded experience License : Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have : Relevant OR experience, preferably 2-5 years;
cataracts experience preferred but not required Job Description : Department with 4 suites, 2 minor procedure rooms, and an OB C-section room.
- Handle an average of 15-20 cases per day.- Exposure to common cases such as general surgery, orthopedic totes, minor cases, ENT, uro, gynecology, C-sections, and podiatry.
- Scrubbing is not required for RNs but is a plus.- Work with an OR Charge RN and OR techs.- Utilize Meditech for charting.
- Shifts include 9 or 10 hours, rotating to cover late discharges.- Schedules are released 4 weeks in advance for 6 weeks, with no self-scheduling.
- Call requirements include an average of one weeknight call and a 24-hour call on Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday every 5th weekend.
- Call response time is 20 minutes.- Holiday on-call coverage required.- No floating requirements.- Scrubs are provided.- Department-specific orientation includes 1-2 weeks with a preceptor.
