Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled OD / ID / Surface Grinder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and running grinding jobs from blueprints and will be capable of inspecting their own work to ensure compliance with tight tolerances and surface finish requirements.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate OD, ID, and surface grinders for precision components.

Interpret and work from blueprints, job routers, and work instructions.

Select proper wheels, feeds, and speeds for various materials.

Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, indicators, and other precision instruments.

Maintain close tolerances and surface finish per print requirements.

Keep equipment and work area clean and organized.

Work collaboratively with engineering and quality departments to resolve any issues.

Qualifications

Experience : 10+ years of experience operating OD, ID, and / or surface grinders.

Blueprint Reading : Strong understanding of GD&T and print interpretation.

Inspection Skills : Must be able to check your own work accurately.

Attention to Detail : Able to maintain tolerances within ±.0001” and fine surface finishes.

Independence : Capable of working with minimal supervision.

Schedule & Compensation

Hours : 6 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM (Monday–Friday), occasional Saturdays.

Pay : Based on experience, typically

• $23–$28 / hour
• (Based on experience).
