Job Summary

The AVP Commercial Loan Servicing is responsible for oversight and strategic operations planning and execution of the loan operations, escrow and payoff teams.

These teams include the following roles : Insurance, tax & mortgage insurance, payoff quoting and releases & assignments, Special Loans, Partial Releases, SII, credit & records management.

This role mentors and develops staff to achieve optimum performance and leads efforts for policy and procedure improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops, maintains, and executes strategic plans for the department to achieve continued growth and performance.
  • Provides strong, dynamic leadership that mentors, develops, and guides the team to become highly effective leaders and skilled specialists.
  • Reviews performance of staff to ensure standards are being adhered to, and goals and objectives are achieved. Formulates performance standards, conducts evaluations and initiates personnel actions.
  • Monitors monthly operational statistics and reports; analyzes trends, variances, and problem areas. Provides accurate reporting results, including production statistics, actual result to goal and forecasting projections.
  • Establishes and directs team on daily and monthly performance matrices. Leads team to achieve and exceed minimum performance metrics.
  • Identifies, develops and implements processes and procedures to enhance departmental performance.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory agency and company guidelines and standards. Reviews and maintains compliance tracking of state and federal regulations.

Responds to monthly quality control reviews and assists on external audits.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent related work experience required

Experience

  • Minimum of ten (10) years in mortgage / banking and / or loan servicing experience required
  • Minimum of five (5) years related leadership experience
  • Loan servicing experience in an Escrow Administration, Real Estate Tax and / or Insurance related position strongly preferred

Functional / Technical Skills

  • Strong Management skills in training, motivating, directing, and monitoring staff performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Organized, detail oriented and possesses the ability to multi-task
  • Strong working knowledge of call center operations a plus
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Effectively manages time and meets deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively interact with managers and members of the functional areas of business.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Windows applications.
