WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A RESPITE SERVICES FACILITATOR
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field
- Prior experience working with families and children
- Ability to follow all applicable laws and regulations, including VBHCS Standards of Conduct and VBHCS Policies and Procedures
- Basic knowledge of child development and behavioral management techniques is preferred

YOUR NEW ROLE AS OUR RESPITE SERVICES FACILITATOR
In your role as a Respite Program Consultant, you're dedicated to supporting families with children facing serious emotional disturbances or dual diagnoses of SED and Autism through our Planned Respite Program.
Under the guidance of the Respite Coordinator, you develop and administer planned respite activities while adhering to state and Volunteer guidelines.
Your expertise in social and economic challenges, family behavior, and community resources is crucial. Your daily tasks involve using a systems approach model, implementing behavior management strategies, and providing home and community-based training and respite services.
You focus on both the child and the family, conducting assessments, collaborating to create Individualized Family Respite Plans (IFRP), and assisting families in accessing community respite alternatives.
You play a pivotal role in upholding System of Care values and meeting programmatic outcomes, making a significant impact on the well-being and success of the children and families you serve.
