Flu Vaccine Required - Medical / Religious Exemptions Only Must-Have : Experience in Medical Surgical; Epic experience Job Description : - Work in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) during night shifts, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1 : 5.- Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs.- Accommodate block schedule requests with manager approval, dependent on unit needs.
- Provide care for short-term treatment and observation patients until discharge or transfer.- Serve as a short stay unit for emergency department boarders, outpatient procedures, PACU boarders, and observation patients.
- Contribute to alleviating boarding in the Emergency Department.- Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November), with peak months in August and September.
- Complete assigned modules as part of non-billable orientation hours (average 4 hours, included in NBO hours).- Wear solid royal blue or white top with royal blue bottoms as part of the uniform.
- Comply with all pre-start compliance requirements for proposed start date. Additional Information : - First-time travelers are not accepted.
- Local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius, considered on a case-by-case basis.- Candidates must be separated from the facility system for 1 year before returning as a traveler.
- Ensure there is no planned time off that impacts pre-start compliance.
