We are searching for a reliable Medical Assistant to perform various office and clinical duties to keep our healthcare practice running efficiently.
We are a strictly medical dermatology office. Our Medical Assistant will work directly with healthcare providers and staff to collect biopsy specimens, maintain patient records, explain common medical procedures to patients, and assist in basic examinations.
Our office is very fast paced and you will be expected to follow the providers and complete all M.A. responsibilities on a daily basis.
Responsibilities :
- Update and maintain patient records via EMR using Modernizing Medicine (EMA).
- Take a complete history (chief complaint, medications, allergies etc.).
- Clean and prepare exam rooms prior to patient appointments.
- Assist the providers with patient visits (assisting with biopsies and surgeries).
- Medication refills, medication prior authorizations, biologic medications, phone calls, and order supplies, etc.
- Clean and maintain the autoclave and all surgical instruments.
Skills :
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism.
- Technology proficient
- Preferred Associate's Degree and / or Healthcare Experience.
- Capable of excelling in a fast-paced environment.
- Dermatology experience preferred.
- Ability to learn dermatology medical terminology.
- Preferred minimum of 1 year of experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital.
- Pay will be determined on experience and knowledge.
