Yeshiva Toras Chaim, a private, accredited, boy’s high school in Denver, is in need of qualified, passionate, language arts teachers, for the remainder of this school year and for the 2 024-2025 school year for grades 9-12 .
We are looking to fill four periods, grades 9 through 12. The positions are part-time .
Responsibilities
- The ideal teacher will have a clear knowledge, understanding of and passion for the subject. He will have the ability to excite and engage high school boys in this critical area.
- Teacher must be able to work with students of multiple levels in the same classroom.
REQUIREMENTS
- State Certification is a plus, but the ABILITY TO MOTIVATE and CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT SKILLS are a MUST. Three years of classroom teaching experience required.
- Teacher must have an excellent grasp on the subject matter. A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required ; master's degree is preferred.
The applicant must be willing to undergo a background check.
- Classes are 35-40 minutes each. There are four periods between the hours of 3 : 30 pm to 6 : 20 pm . Classes take place from Monday to Thursday.
- Classes consist of about 16 -20 boys each, making for easy differentiation and student-centered lessons and activities.

Salary
- Salary : $ 8,500 a year per period , $34000 for all four periods. ( equal to approximately $ 80 per hour of teaching!)
