Job Description

The Account Director is responsible for leading the overall relationship with clients to ensure client value is realized.

This role will be accountable for driving retention and growth of Press Ganey’s suite of solutions.

Preference for candidates to be located in the Central or Mountain U.S. time zone. Hybrid work arrangement if local to our Chicago office.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Serve as the overall relationship manager for the client and be responsible for retention of existing client revenue through developing outstanding relationships across all levels of the organization, especially within the executive suite.
  • Lead the client value strategy, navigating the C-suite and other business leaders to ensure the client is maximizing the relationship.
  • Identify sales opportunities and engage with the sales team to partner on securing client growth.
  • Responsible for meeting regularly with the C-Suite (including ongoing Executive Briefings) to align with the strategy and goals of the client organization.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of client and develop recommendations based on clients’ business needs and usage patterns.
  • Work cross-functionally across Press Ganey to fulfill on client value proposition and address client needs / concerns. This includes facilitating on-demand and proactive guidance for the client.
  • Provide market insights and strategic advice.
  • Understand client Partnership Dashboard (including Voice of Client and internal client health assessment) and implement plans to address.
  • Up to 50% work travel.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of account management / sales / consulting experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of strategic planning, execution of strategy, business development, and sales.
  • Demonstrated solid leadership qualities.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • To support customers, flexible to work weekends and holidays with the possibility to flex up or down hours depending on business needs.
  • Healthcare industry experience is preferred.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of prior relevant experience.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.

Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
