Immediate need for a BE / BC Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Provider to join a well established outpatient Community Health group. Lets Discuss
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB : Provides clinical leadership and over-site to the professional support staff. As a Physician, provides health care services to patients.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
- Board Certification / Recertification (preferably) or Board Eligible in Specialty, Internal Medicine, Family Practice.
- Completion and maintenance of annual CME requirements for licensure (CME should be relevant to provider scope of medicine).
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state.
Clinical Care :
- Provides supervision and leadership for the medical support staff and clinical operations.
- Provides direct patient care and supervises FNP's in accordance with the specific medical specialty job description.
- Maintains current licensure and board certifications.
- Maintains after-hours availability for staff consultation on patient care issues as relates to policies and procedures.
- Contributes to team effort by fulfilling on-call duties and hospital hours, if applicable.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
- Performs patient care responsibilities in accordance with the highest and generally accepted professionalism shown.
- Effectively communicate with other providers to ensure continuity of care.
Team Work :
Ability to work and interact effectively and positively with other staff members to build and enhance teamwork among provider staff and in the overall Health Center organization.
Sensitivity to the Needs of Special Populations :
Ability to understand and respond appropriately, effectively and sensitively to special population groups served by the Health Center.
Special population groups include those defined by race, ethnicity, language, age gender, disability and sexual orientation.
