Doyon Government Group (DGG) provides Design-Build and General Construction Services on demolition, new construction, renovations, repairs, and civil projects at government-owned facilities and military installations.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Construction Engineer (Electrical) to ensure that all electrical components and systems within our construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
The successful candidate will oversee quality control processes, conduct inspections and tests, and collaborate with the construction team to resolve any quality issues.
We are open to 1099 independent contractors!
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures for electrical systems in construction projects
- Conduct regular inspections and tests on electrical installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and codes
- Monitor the quality of electrical materials, equipment, and workmanship on construction sites
- Ensure all electrical work complies with industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Investigate and resolve quality issues and non-conformances in electrical construction
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality concerns
- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the quality of electrical materials and installations
Qualifications :
MUST qualify as one of the following :
- Graduate Electrical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) registration + 2 years professional experience ...or
- Construction professional with 5 years of experience supervising electrical features of work in the field with a construction company
PHYSICAL DEMANDS : The work is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing up to forty pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel;
reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Occasional travel required.
SALARY & BENEFITS : Salary range for this position is $90,000-$150,000 per year. Exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, education, certifications, and work location.
