About The Position
Job Title : Occupational Therapist Job Specialty : Acute Care Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 5x8-Hour (08 : 30 - 17 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : 70 hours per 2 weeks - Traveler may be called off for 1, 10-hour shift per 2 weeks Experience : Minimum 1 year required License : Pending license accepted Certifications : National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), Alaska OT License Must-Have : Acute Care / Outpatient Experience Job Description : - Opportunity for an Occupational Therapist in an Acute Care Medical Center with Level IV Trauma / Critical Access Hospital experience.
- Orientation provided for 40 hours.- First-time applicants are accepted, with candidates open to accommodating a block schedule.
- The role is primarily in an outpatient setting, with no on-call requirements.- Clinicians will not float within the scope to meet facility needs.
- Travel applicants must live at least 50 miles from the facility.- Only travelers separated from any permanent staff position at facility for at least 3 months prior may apply.
- Housing and a rental vehicle are provided, with specifics on availability and use outlined.- Pets are not allowed in the provided housing, and additional family members require approval.
- Both vehicle and housing need to be cleaned before departure.- A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance are required for vehicle use, with specific travel limitations.
- Time off during the contract requires the return of the provided vehicle, which will be reissued upon return.- Tire chains for the vehicle are available at an additional cost.
- Facility provides communication devices as needed for the role.- Vaccine requirements : COVID-19 vaccine is mandatory with exemptions allowed;
flu vaccine status is unknown.- References covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required.- Refusal to float as needed may result in termination and forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
