HR Coordinator and Data Specialist

PURPOSE OF POSITION :
This position is responsible for facilitating communication and understanding of HR policies and procedures among employees and supervisors in both English and Vietnamese, ensuring that inquiries are addressed promptly and accurately.
This position provides essential administrative support to the VP of Human Resources and develops, generates, and distributes standard and ad-hoc reports as requested.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
HR Coordinator :
- Assist employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures in both English and Vietnamese.
- Assist employees with HR / Payroll related inquiries or requests in both English and Vietnamese.
- Conduct orientation and onboarding process for new hires in both English and Vietnamese.
- Maintain employee records in compliance with state and federal requirements
- Ensure all new hire, terminations, and all other payroll-related changes are accurately reflected in the payroll system.
Administrative Assistance :
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the VP of Human Resources.
Data Specialist :
- Develop, generate, and distribute standard and ad-hoc HR reports as requested by VP of Human Resources. Ad hoc reports may include a variety of items, including but not limited to hours logs, staffing updates, active employee list.
- Generate organizational charts as requested.
- Ensure all timesheets are processed thoroughly and timely through the time and attendance software.
- Respond to reference checks and verifications of employment within 24 hours of request.
- Administers benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations on a timely basis.
- Occasional travel between FRE plant locations.
- Backup coverage for receptionist during lunch break as needed.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis tools
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of the principles, practices, and standards of human resources
- Highly responsible and reliable, and able to manage confidential information
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope
