Job Description :

At Regions, the Enterprise Risk Testing Manager is a second line of defense risk management function that ensures the development and maintenance of a strong risk culture by developing and maintaining a program infrastructure that measures, monitors, and reports compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and rules that govern a specific line of business and / or adherence to policies and procedures to ensure controls established are operationally effective to mitigate risk.

This position reports to the Enterprise Risk Testing Group Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Leads enterprise transactional testing activities by designing and executing an effective transactional testing program to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, processes and procedures
  • Leads collaboration with Compliance and Non-Financial Risk executives in executing the testing program
  • Understands Regions' strategy, emerging risks, and / or new initiatives to inform transactional testing priorities
  • Manages team of risk testing team leaders and analysts and provides guidance on complex regulatory issues and associated processes and procedures
  • Mentors and trains testing team members to ensure effective engagement and positions them to succeed
  • Directs reporting and communication on effectiveness of controls against expected outcomes to meet all applicable laws and regulations or operational processes
  • Focuses on the resolution of complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret the results against policies, guidelines or processes
  • Develops strong partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure adherence to key controls to meet bank strategies
  • Develops open, transparent and effective relationships and communication protocols with Regions prudential regulators and Internal Audit
  • Participates in applicable senior management committees
  • Participates and contributes to Regions' strategic planning process

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience

This position will work a hybrid schedule with a combination of in-office and remote work

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Eight (8) years of experience in Financial Services
  • Three (3) years in a supervisory / management role
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies, including Federal Reserve Board (FRB), Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), or applicable State Agencies

Preferences

  • Experience in Compliance, Risk Management, or Audit
  • Relevant, applicable certifications and / or licenses
  • Advanced knowledge of compliance and operational risks

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to analyze complex organizational and process issues to isolate regulatory or operational risk exposure.
  • Ability to build constructive relationships with risk stakeholders and manage the multi-dimensional nature of both risk and communications
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive business relationships with internal partners and external regulators
  • Ability to effectively apply change management principles
  • Ability to manage, set objectives, prioritize activities and performance, and manage team of testing analysts
  • Ability to negotiate and influence others
  • Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
  • Effective negotiating and influencing skills with experience in conveying complex information to general audiences through training materials, written communications and other means
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include : experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role.

As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Median : $161,170.00 USD

$161,170.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans :

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and / or company performance.

Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
