JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services.
- Work within a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems.
- Work within a dynamic team-focused environment, emphasizing the planning and execution of comprehensive testing for both mission systems and air vehicles.
- Perform extensive system testing, aimed at assessing a broad spectrum of mission equipment such as communication, computing, navigation, and surveillance systems, to ensure they meet design and functionality standards.
- Additionally, air vehicle testing tasks will include the assessment of aircraft systems disturbed during air vehicle modification and return-to-service efforts, and a thorough evaluation of various flight and control capabilities across prototype air vehicles.
- Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high / low temperatures, sun, rain / snow, etc.)
- Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals / materials.
- Rarely exposed to loud noises.
- Responsible for the safety or security of people or property.
- Inspects structures, equipment or vehicles
- 10-30% travel is to be expected to support off-site test activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or other related discipline with 2 or more years of experience
- Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Knowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integration Exposure to planning, conducting and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities
- Experience with troubleshooting, automated testing and system integration
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies to include manual and automated testing
- Ability to prepare complex and professional test plans, test procedures, and test reports in order to demonstrate compliance to system requirements
- Familiarity with Product and Quality Assurance principles and experienced in generation and disposition of product non-conformances
- Experience performing certification testing for various certification organizations (i.e. FAA, NASA, DoD)
- Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
