JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services.
• Work within a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems.
• Work within a dynamic team-focused environment, emphasizing the planning and execution of comprehensive testing for both mission systems and air vehicles.
• Perform extensive system testing, aimed at assessing a broad spectrum of mission equipment such as communication, computing, navigation, and surveillance systems, to ensure they meet design and functionality standards.
• Additionally, air vehicle testing tasks will include the assessment of aircraft systems disturbed during air vehicle modification and return-to-service efforts, and a thorough evaluation of various flight and control capabilities across prototype air vehicles.
• Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high / low temperatures, sun, rain / snow, etc.)
• Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals / materials.
• Rarely exposed to loud noises.
• Responsible for the safety or security of people or property.
• Inspects structures, equipment or vehicles
• 10-30% travel is to be expected to support off-site test activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or other related discipline with 2 or more years of experience
• Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
• Knowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integration Exposure to planning, conducting and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities
• Experience with troubleshooting, automated testing and system integration

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies to include manual and automated testing
• Ability to prepare complex and professional test plans, test procedures, and test reports in order to demonstrate compliance to system requirements
• Familiarity with Product and Quality Assurance principles and experienced in generation and disposition of product non-conformances
• Experience performing certification testing for various certification organizations (i.e. FAA, NASA, DoD)
• Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
