Independent Insurance Agency is in need of a Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative (CSR) for their growing organization.
The Customer Service Representative provides professional and courteous customer service and builds long-term client relationships.
The Customer Service Representative will act as an ambassador for the Company by taking ownership of customer issues / questions and serving as the first, and often primary, point of contact for same.
The CSR is an independent problem solver who must work quickly but thoroughly to facilitate the needs of customers, the acquisition of new business and the renewal of existing business by working closely with the Producers, other Customer Service Representatives, and the Commercial Lines manager.
Qualifications :
- High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree a plus.
- 1-3+ years of insurance or office experience
- Strong customer service, verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of commercial lines insurance coverages; especially P&C and Trucking is a plus
- Active Illinois Property & Casualty Insurance Producer's License or obtained within the first 6 months of employment.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience working with paperless systems. Prior experience with Hawksoft agency management system a plus.
- Ability to successfully operate in a fast-paced environment that requires staff members to multi-task, prioritize and perform tasks that are not routine, and be flexible with tasks performed
- Desire to work within a team environment
Responsibilities include but not limited to :
- Serve as point of contact for service, maintenance and set-up related to commercial accounts
- Respond to customer inquiries, answer coverage questions, explain policy features, provide application and quote status updates, facilitate payments, and requests for documents.
Record all conversations with customers or perspective customers.
- Analyze and process Certificates of Insurance, auto identification cards, driver checks and Federal and State filings.
- Prepare and process requests for mid-term endorsements either online or by request from insurance companies
- Manage pending renewals; Contact clients on missing renewal applications and document interactions.
- Submit applications online via insurance company rating systems or via direct communication with underwriters in order to obtain insurance quotes
- Follow-up with customers as necessary regarding missing information
- Upload, index or attach documents in Document Management System.
- Seek assistance from senior team members when confronted with unfamiliar or complex processing transactions.
