Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher located throughout San Bernardino County, CA.
The Teacher will be responsible for assessing, providing specialized instruction and support to children with disabilities in full inclusion state preschool as a part of the intake team for initial evaluations.
The ESCE Teacher will implement individualized education plans, assess student progress, collaborate with other professionals, communicate with parents and guardians, and create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Must have or willing to obtain an Early Childhood Special Education Credential
- Experience in teaching children with disabilities and implementing individualized education plans
- Strong knowledge of special education practices and methodologies
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning environments
- Ability to observe and assess students
- Knowledge of middle school curriculum and instructional strategies
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Bachelor's degree in special education or related field
- State teaching certification in Special Education
- Additional certifications or training in early childhood education is a plus
