ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Security CCTV Access Control Field Service Technician you will respond and resolve complex service calls providing technical support, upgrades and troubleshooting to Honeywell security systems (CCTV, access control, etc.

for our commercial customers in Columbia SC and across the state of SC as required. You will report directly to ourSr Field Service Supervisor in the West Columbia, SC office.

Additional responsibilities related to the technical delivery of small service jobs, time and material work, and preventive maintenance may be assigned as well.

These customers will have various products installed that fall into the - HVAC, automation controls, life safety, fire, and security systems category as well as their associated computer systems.

You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering top-notch service to our clients, contributing to the seamless operation of smart buildings, and championing Honeywell's commitment to excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot security CCTV and access control systems
  • Conduct system testing and ensure proper functionality
  • Provide technical facilitation and assistance to customers
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of security solutions
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Travel throughout the service area, with occasional overnight stays as needed.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • 5+ years' hands on experience with automated security systems (CCTV, access control) hardware and software
  • Ability to troubleshoot and conduct repairs
  • Valid Driver's License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell

WE VALUE

  • Associate's degree in engineering or a related field
  • Experience with Honeywell security systems (ACS Pro, MAXPRO, Vindicator, Pro-Watch, etc.)
  • Technical Training
