About the TeamThe Global Monetization Product and Technology (GMPT) Design Program Management Team is the strategic and operational engine behind critical initiatives, design processes, and design programs that support GMPT Design Team's day-to-day operations and capabilities to deliver high quality design products for TikTok Monetization business, drive successful outcomes on goals and cultivate the best design community culture in the industry to attract and nurture the best talents.
On a daily basis, the GMPT Design Program Management Team will work closely with the Design Managers, GMPT Leadership and the cross-functional key stakeholders to ensure accurate prioritization, communications, and visibility of near and long-term strategies, manage the GMPT Design team assets and asset requests, develop and constantly improve operational inefficiencies and new processes to help Product Design, Content Design, Design Foundation and User Research teams operate smoothly.
About the RoleThe GMPT Design Program Management Team is looking for a Senior Design Program Manager to join this amazing design community and make an immediate impact on the GMPT Design and Design Program Management team's growth and strategy.
As a senior member of the team, you will help drive the vision and the mission of the GMPT Design Program Management Team by establishing an operating rhythm within the GMPT Design team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the program management and operations of the GMPT Design team focusing on TikTok Monetization critical product initiatives and quarterly delivery.
You will lead the end-to-end scoping, planning, execution, and launch of your program to deliver success for our products and users.
You will also play a critical role by connecting between key business functions, aligning and influencing stakeholders, providing visibility into the workstream's progress, elevating and mitigating risks, and inspiring the design team through an efficient operational process or a rigorous program to bring our work to real life.
As the Senior Design Program Manager, in this role you will- Support and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously on various monetization products, ensuring alignment across design teams and XFNs on goals, plans, and deliverables- Drive and support strategic planning cycles with various design teams and design leaders, including product design, content design and user research - Collaborate closely with stakeholders for relevant business insight content updates and drive business / leadership forums discussion- Analyze as-is situations, design process improvements, drive and influence internal and external stakeholder alignments, govern or own project implementations- Constantly spearhead and create new programs from 0 to 1 to improve the design quality of monetization products- Initiate and establish new programs for the global design team, including contributing to building team culture, managing design team assets, organizing design team forums and offsites
Minimum Requirements- At least 5 years of experience working in program management, project management or product management from roadmapping through delivery- Exceptional project and program management capabilities with a track record of successfully driving a cross-functional team, proficient in project management tools- Excellent organizational, time-management skills, presentation and communication skills with multiple stakeholders, both verbal and written- Ability to take initiative and ownership of the program with an entrepreneurial mindset- Proven ability to lead creative projects, solve complex problems using data, and inspire the team to think outside the box- Experienced or interested in monetization products and product design processes- Passionate about contributing and building an outstanding and industry-leading design community Preferred Qualifications- Passionate about TikTok products and user experience- Experienced or interested in design operations- Comfortable dealing with conflicts, solving ambiguous and open-ended problems independently- Collaborative, establish relationships quickly, and have experience influencing and working with multiple cross-functional partners, including leaders- Striving to be a subject matter expert in your space and consistently improving the design processes and operations- Excellent in handling challenging and dynamic changing environments
