Description

General Purpose :

The Account Manager isresponsible for retention and upgrade sales of MGMAs Data & Organizational Membership products by serving the needs of the healthcare provider community.

This role is on a salary plus commission base compensation structure.

Essential Functions :

  • As a lead MGMA representative to Organizational Members, will develop and manage the relationship with a focus on growing revenue, increasing member count, and increasing member engagement.
  • Fields questions on Organizational Membership products, performs outbound relationship calls and emails and provides excellent service to these accounts.
  • Upsells MGMA products and services to current and members.
  • Utilizes client relationship management tool to track client feedback, account renewals, sales and any other relevant items.
  • Works closely with supervisor to capture the feedback of members needs.
  • Works with support staff to coordinate and / or delegate logistic and administrative functions related to providing Organizational Members with other MGMA benefits.
  • Facilitates on-site conference support of enterprise license customers and Organizational Members needs, and occasional travel to member sites to enhance membership engagement and utilization.
  • Other duties as required and necessary to ensure the success of the organization.

This position is eligible for bonus and commission paid on a quarterly basis.

Qualifications

Knowledge, skills and abilities :

  • Ability to consistently promote, support, work, and act in a manner in support of MGMAs mission, vision and values.
  • Ability to be self motivated and proactively reach out to existing members in the timeline required and generate prospect development and solicitation.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of MGMA and member industry and day to day member challenges.
  • Ability to effectively position the value of MGMA products and services.
  • Ability to identify member's spoken and unspoken needs and educates / recommends members on member benefits, services and products available.
  • Ability to stay positive during and following challenging customer interactions.
  • Ability to learn proficiently operate client relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and establish effective working relationships.
  • Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to coach, and provide guidance to other Department employees.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, and using the customer relationship management (CRM) Microsoft Dynamics program

Education :

A Bachelors degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is required.

Experience :

  • Three (3) or more years experience of client management, customer service and executing a sales plan preferably in a membership setting with a track record of selling or upselling higher levels of products / services to a challenging customer base is required.
  • Experience driving client membership, developing relationships, and managing the needs of healthcare organizations is preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

Additional Requirements / Licenses / Certifications :

  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.

  • This is a largely sedentary role, so employee must be able to remain in a sedentary position while focusing for extended periods of time throughout the workday.

Position also requires occasional movement inside the office to access file cabinets, printers, etc. While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to successfully navigate scenarios requiring the following operational abilities :

  • Ability to operate PC / keyboard and other office productivity equipment
  • Ability to position self to traverse / navigate around typical office setting
  • Ability pull / push, lift, open / close, grasp / manipulate, transport up to 10 lbs.
