Summary

DWC is seeking a full-time Day Center Case Management Program Supervisor to supervise the day-to-day operations of a case management team providing comprehensive, trauma-informed care to unaccompanied women and women with children who have been a victim of a crime and experiencing homelessness.

This person will oversee case management and intake activities, resource linkage, care coordination, and provide direct service supervision to DWC staff.

An ideal candidate will lead, inspire, and motivate a team of direct service professionals whose primary goal is to link women and women with children experiencing homelessness to housing.

This position is a member of the Clinical Department and will work in collaboration with other professionals and report directly to the Clinical Program Manager.

Essential Functions

  • Supervise a team of Case Managers and oversee service provision per DWC’s case management contracts.
  • Provide coaching around trauma-informed client engagement, harm-reduction, and de-escalation techniques as needed.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff working with unaccompanied women and women with children in crisis and women who are victims of a crime.
  • Coordinate weekly team meetings and provide regular one-on-one staff supervision.
  • Manage and coordinate staff schedules and report on staff work performance.
  • Maintain professional relationships and communication with partner agencies.
  • Provide client-centered services in a manner consistent with the DWC mission.
  • Maintain accurate and timely data collection, records, case management notes, and services provided to each client.
  • Approve and track financial assistance requests for eligible participants through case management programs
  • Provide regular, written reports to the Clinical Program Manager and additional reports as assigned.
  • Ensure that staff receive comprehensive onboarding, training, and regular professional development.
  • Ensure that community referral resources are accurate and updated.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, staff, local service providers and funders, and participate in community meetings.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations around confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the mission of the organization.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday- Friday 8 : 00 AM- 4 : 30 PM.

Travel

Regular travel throughout Los Angeles County is required in this position.

Remote

Option for hybrid work schedule, but with expectation to be able to work onsite full time as scheduled.

Required Education and Experience

  • Education in Human Services, Social Work, or related field preferred
  • At least two years’ experience in a supervisory role preferred
  • Experience working in social services; homeless services experience strongly preferred
  • Experience providing trauma-informed care preferred
  • Crisis intervention experience, familiarity and comfort working with issues related to homelessness, substance abuse, mental health diagnosis, and history of trauma preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Oral and written fluency in English required; Spanish a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required

Required Knowledge / Skills / Position Qualifications

  • Knowledge and training in EBPs (i.e., Seeking Safety, Trauma-Informed Care, Mental Health First Aid) preferred
  • Knowledge of local resources available to individuals experiencing homelessness preferred
  • Excellent active listening and crisis intervention skills with ability to exercise and model good judgment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; proven ability to communicate with diverse audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, including proficiency in balancing direct service responsibilities and record-keeping
  • Able to solve problems by being resourceful and using creativity
  • Current valid California state driver’s license, insurance, and vehicle with good driving record
  • Cultural humility.
  • Must be a CA resident and live no more than 75 miles from DWC; must be available for in-person meetings at DWC.
  • Must provide documentation of a negative TB test result within the last twelve months, on first day of hire.
  • Must provide documentation of a negative COVID-19 test result from the last seven days, on first day of hire.
  • You will be required to be up to date on your vaccinations against COVID-19 and provide documentation. If you are fully vaccinated and not yet eligible to receive a booster dose, then you must receive the booster dose within 30 days of becoming eligible and eligibility begins 5 months after receiving final primary dose.

If you are fully vaccinated and have received a booster dose, you are considered up to date with your vaccinations. Unvaccinated individuals must receive their 1st dose before their first day of hire.

Partially vaccinated (for 2-dose series) individuals must receive their 2nd dose within 30 days of being hired. The second dose of a two-dose vaccine series is due 4 weeks after the primary dose.

$65,557.44
