Job Overview
Part-time faculty must be able to administer clinical instruction in local anesthesia along with clinical teaching and supervision of dental hygiene students.
Adjunct faculty members will be expected to (1) use our course management system (Canvas) and any textbook-specific systems;
2) hold regular office hours to meet with students and reply to student communications in a timely manner; and (3) participate in at least one professional development workshop per year.
Essential Functions
- On a part-time basis, teach assigned undergraduate courses.
- Using best practices, continually evaluate student coursework.
- Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of their responsibilities.
- Review and respond in a timely manner to all University-related and student communications.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in health-related field.
Required Trainings / Certifications
- Current Registered Dental Hygienist with active license in the State of Ohio
- Local Anesthesia license in the State of Ohio is required
Required Experience
Must have at least one year experience in a clinical dental hygiene environment
Additional Qualifications Considered
- At least one year of teaching experience in a dental hygiene program
- Experience with the Eaglesoft dental software program
