Project Manager

Alexander Rose are partnered with a reputable general contractor specializing in private, commercial and several underground utility construction projects across the city of Raleigh.

They are looking for an experienced Project Manager / Estimator local to Raleigh to join the team, with previous local experience working within the Underground Utilities market.

Duties :

• Develops a cost-effective plan, budget, and schedule for completion of project following a logical pattern for utilization of resources.
• Estimate, value engineer, and develop project budgets and bids.
• Minimizes exposure and risk by implementing and auditing safety standards and quality assurance controls in conjunction with company safety team.
• Coordinates work of subcontractors working on various phases of multiple projects.
• Oversees performance of all trade contractors and reviews architectural and engineering drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
• Is responsible for proper administration of construction contracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.
• Supervises superintendents, reviews their reports, checks on any reported difficulties, and corrects any safety violations or other reported deficiencies.
• Tracks and controls construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of projects within time and monies allocated.
• Reports to owner, architects and company managers about progress and any necessary modifications of plans that seem indicated.

Plans, implements, tracks and closeout / turnover of construction projects in a timely manner.

• Conducts project meetings.
• Manages day to day operational and tactical aspects of multiple construction projects in a supervisory role.
• Manages day to day client interactions and expectations, directly or in a supervisory role.
• Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, and project costs.
• Manages and achieves revenue goals set for projects.
• Generates and issues regular internal and external project reporting through company software(Spectrum and HCSS).
• Proactively identifies changes in project scope and ensures appropriate measures are taken.
• Projects changes in scope and revenue.
• Administers Submittal Review process between Subcontractors / Suppliers and Project design team.
• Maintains a good working relationship with clients, subcontractors, team members and managers.
• Capable of managing single projects in the $5 Million to $20 Million range or multiple small projects in various stages of construction.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Proven experience in project management within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in project scheduling, construction estimating, and contract negotiation.
• Strong knowledge of Pro Core, Civil 3D, Heavy Bid software tools.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead teams effectively and drive projects to successful completion.
