Job Description :

This job is responsible for driving accurate, complete, and timely delivery of data. Key responsibilities include working with business stakeholders and technology teams to direct commercial banking data management activities and ensure availability for use by appropriate consumers.

Job expectations include managing execution within the enterprise data management standards, data quality, and control practices.

Line of Business Job Description :

The Permit To Send Manager is a position within the Global Operations Data Management Governance team. This person oversees the end to end process for Data Transmission Registrations requiring a Permit to Send / Receive for Global Operations to ensure adherence to the requirements in the External Data Transmission (EDT).

The PTS Manager will work alongside the EDT Standard Team.

In this position, the PTS Manager will operate across Global Operations working with the Process Owners, Delegates, PTS Contributors, DQCE, etc to ensure transmissions that require PTS / R are completed with the required details timely and accurately per the EDT Standard.

The PTS Manager will also worked with our DQCE team.

Responsibilities :

  • Works with Line of Business partners, including Compliance, Audit, and Risk to understand needsand produce data solutions, often times in partnership with Technology
  • Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and works with appropriate partners to develop plans for resolution, including recommendations so that relevant risk and compliance policies and standards are met
  • Analyzes emerging needs for data to address risk, regulatory, or business enablement priorities and appropriately plans for interim and target state solutions within data management policies
  • Monitors key performance indicators and internal controls in accordance with established thresholds, standards, and policies
  • Establish / Refine PTS Monitoring and Oversight program (controls, routines, reporting, escalation and metrics)
  • Perform QA activity on all cases
  • Partner with teams across Global Operations and supporting external teams to complete the PTS workflow
  • Manage portfolio of Data Transmission Registrations requiring a PTS utilizing available reporting or partner within peer teams to create reporting
  • Monitor PTS expiration dates to ensure the initiation of renew / retire processes
  • Determines and delivers communication / training
  • Design and implement controls to ensure all PTS / R policy and standard requirements are met
  • Create training procedures to implement new or revised adherence requirements
  • Monitor and advocate for changes within the PTS requirements of the EDT Standard
  • Directly engage with Enterprise Data Strategy and Governance voicing concerns and recommendations
  • Support the response and / or remediation of any audits or exams
  • Work with POs and Data Risk Leads that are new to the process and be able to assist as needed
  • Support execution of other EDT adherence related requirements and initiatives including but not limited to new requirement implementation, adherence remediation, incident management, etc.

Required Qualifications :

  • 5 years or more experience in Data Management including Business Controls, Risk and / or Audit experience
  • 5+ years of financial services industry experience
  • Strong problem solving, conceptual thinking, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity and agile to process change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Ability to build relationships, communicate effectively and influence others
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and SharePoint
  • Self-starting, organized, proactive, and requiring minimal management oversight
  • Time management, analytical and organizational skills are a must
