Position Summary : Under general supervision, performs required maintenance duties, which include electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and construction operations and activities in all First Step, leased and owned facilities.
Perform assigned responsibilities duties and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques and standards, as well as applicable local laws, or pertaining to employment, and or education.

Educational Requirements : High School Diploma or GED, five years’ experience, possess a valid Florida driver’s license.
Job related licenses or certificates are desired.
Special Skills : Must possess basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems, basic computer skills.
Must possess physical stamina, manual dexterity, and ability to perform heavy physical work out of doors in all weather conditions, using varied hand and power tools.
Must be able to lift and move materials weighting up to 50 pounds,
Position Duties :
- Perform a variety of field maintenance tasks as directed by supervisor, up to and including door locks, drywall repair, painting, patching, installation of appliances and equipment
- Responds to emergencies as requested.
- Ensures facilities and related mechanical systems are maintained in a safe working order.
- Performs landscaping and grounds keeping activities as instructed by supervisor.
- Maintains inter- and intradepartmental work flow by fostering a spirit of cooperation.
- Will be required to be on an ON-CALL rotation for urgent needs at all First Step leased, or owned properties. This is a 24 hour, 7 day per week, Monday-Sunday.
Adjustment of hours, and / or weekend work maybe required and / or occasional overtime.
- Collaborate with coworkers and other management team during renovations repairs, or trouble shooting electrical and / or mechanical issues.
- Have the ability to read, and interpret or oral instruction of technical manuals, and drawings i.e. blueprints, wiring diagrams, installation instructions.
- Wear proper protective equipment PPE, while performing job duties, (i.e., goggles, face mask, hardhat, back brace, kneepads).
- Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment while performing assigned tasks in direct client surroundings.
- Possess excellent time management, problem-solving skills, attention to safety, detail, and be proactive.
- Maintains customer confidence, and protects operations by keeping information confidential following established confidentiality policy and procedures.
Maintaining professional boundaries with persons served.
All other duties as assigned.
