Job Summary :
The Home Health Billing and Coding Administrative role at Interim HealthCare in Novi, MI is a full-time, hourly position in the franchise industry.
This individual contributor role is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing billing and coding for home health and hospice services provided by Interim HealthCare.
The primary focus of this role is to ensure proper billing and coding procedures are followed to maximize reimbursement and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities :
- Accurately code diagnoses, procedures, and services for home health visits according to current coding guidelines and regulations
- Review and verify all necessary documentation for completeness and accuracy before submitting claims for reimbursement
- Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve any coding or billing discrepancies
- Maintain knowledge of current coding and billing guidelines, regulations, and requirements
- Obtain and monitor insurance authorizations and verification
- Keep detailed records of claims, payments, and denials to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Assist with the development and implementation of billing and coding policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate billing processes
Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent, associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare management or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in coding and billing for home health services.
- Knowledge of CMS coding, billing regulations, and procedures related to home health services
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and billing software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong knowledge and practice with ICD-10
