Saint Luke's is currently seeking a PRN Sterile Processing Technician at Saint Luke's South.

Position Details : PRN

Processing instruments that are used in procedures in the operating room

Cleaning soiled instruments (decontamination)

sterilizing instruments, storing sterile instruments

Documentation of processes

High attention to detail

SPD, SPT

Sterile Processing and Surgical Tech Student or Program

Medical Equipment Preparer

Central Service Tech

Distribution Tech

Medical Instrument Tech

Sterilization, autoclave

This position is responsible for the processing sterilization and documentation related to sterility of patient care supplies instruments and equipment used throughout the hospital in accordance with the AORN Standards of Practice. Prepare and assemble instrument sets and surgery trays using count sheets and verifies proper function and integrity of instruments. Labels instruments correctly and returns them to their proper location. Efficient in the quality execution of instrumentation that is directly related to patient safety and department efficiencies. Familiar with AAMI Joint Commission and APIC standards related to infection control.
