Ensure Exemplary Scholar Achievement
- When a gap arises, fill in as the lead / independent teacher during long-term absences or vacancies, ensuring continuity in instruction and maintaining high standards of academic excellence.
- Collaborate with special education staff to support scholars with IEPs and 504 plans.
- Plan and execute grade-level instructional activities to meet the established outcomes.
- Implement research-based strategies to address learning gaps.
- Establish and maintain a positive and focused learning environment.
- Teach and reinforce classroom expectations and behavioral norms.
Data Analysis and Informed Decision Making
- Assess individual and collective scholar needs through various forms of assessment, observations, and collaboration with classroom teachers.
- Analyze scholar performance data to identify trends and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Monitor and document individual scholar progress.
- Share insights on scholar progress and discuss effective instructional strategies.
- Adjust instruction based on assessment results to ensure continued growth.
Professional Growth and Development
- Actively engage in learning opportunities with the master or lead teacher, observing best practices in classroom management, lesson planning, and instructional delivery.
- Regularly reflect on feedback from the master or lead teacher and implement suggested strategies to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Participate in professional development sessions and apply newly acquired skills and knowledge in the classroom setting.
- Collaborate with the master or lead teacher to develop a personalized growth plan, focusing on areas of improvement and preparing for future certification.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement by staying informed on current educational practices and trends.

Educational Background and Work Experience :
- Valid New Jersey Substitute Certification
- Bachelor's Degree
- Strong classroom management skills necessary
Salary : $55,000 base salary with a $1,375 stipend / quarter if leading a class
