AHC DIETARY AIDE JOB DESCRIPTION
At Accolade Healthcare the Dietary Aide serves food to residents, visitors, and employees in a friendly, professional manner, while providing outstanding customer service.
In addition, works with other team members to prep foods, deliver to resident rooms and resident dining, wash dishes, and clean kitchens.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare tray line with napkins, wrapped silverware, trays, lids for plates, placemats.
- Complete food prep for tray line and cooler.
- Puree food as needed.
- Place food and beverage items on trays according to meal requests or physicians' orders.
- Stock carts with ice water and iced tea for lunch.
- Load and deliver cards to various areas of the Facility, including individual resident rooms and group dining rooms
- Complete food prep for the next day.
- Serve lunch on tray line.
- Check dates and rotate stock as required by facility policy
- Clear tables and sanitize tables and tabletop items.
- Empty carts and take out trash.
- Wipe inside and outside and fronts of carts with sanitizer solution.
- Clean coffee pots and other kitchen equipment.
- Clean up kitchen and wash dishes.
- Prepare kitchen and dining rooms for the next meal.
- Answer kitchen phone as needed.
- Perform other related work as required or requested.
Requirements :
- High school diploma or the equivalent preferred
- Ability to work with and serve a variety of people is required.
- Excellent customer service skills are required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team are required.
- Reliability is required.
- Must be able to work a weekend and holiday rotation.
- Food Handlers Certification is / will be required
