Job Description KiwiCo is an innovative eCommerce company that sparks kids creativity and curiosity through offline and online materials and inspiration.

Our core offering is a subscription service that delivers hands-on projects to kids of all ages. We also have an online store and a content hub for families.

We take great pride and ownership in the products and experiences we design and in the community of parents and kids we serve.

Our office is located in Mountain View, within walking distance to the Caltrain station. Currently, we are working remotely.

As guidelines permit, we will move to our plan of hybrid, remote / in-office work.

Role and Responsibilities :

We are looking for an extraordinary Demand Planner to ensure that KiwiCos supply chain operations are timely, efficient, and cost-effective.

  • Create forecasts for future inventory based on historical buys, reoccurring buys and current inventory levels.
  • Develop effective forecasting models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
  • Create tops down plans that align with company objectives. Own bottoms up financial reconciliation of plans.
  • Own in season pricing activities to ensure that overall margin targets will be met.
  • Review stock to sales ratios and respond proactively to changes in sales trends.
  • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and buying strategies.
  • Communicate forecast and inventory estimations to cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain, propose, and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
  • Build strong cross functional relationships to influence and drive results.
  • Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develop strategies to liquidate old and surplus inventory.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, or other relevant fields
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a demand planning / forecasting role
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-driven, with outstanding follow-up, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to create processes and organizational efficiencies
