Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) CVICU for a nursing job in Dallas, Texas.

Patient Population : Post Cardiology Interventional, Post Vascular Surgical / Interventional, Advanced heart Failure. True Cardiac ICU- CRRT, Impella, Swan, AIBP, etc.
No open hearts, CABG, or ECMO. This unit operates as a Cardiac Universal Bed (CUB) in that they have Cardiac ICU and Cardiac Telemetry patients.
All nurses on the unit must be comfortable caring for both.
Required Experience : Candidates MUST have minimum of 1-year recent, full time ICU RN experience.
Shift : FT / Nights 7p-7a Three 12hr shifts per week, rotating weekends
Patient Ratios : 1 : 2 ICU and 1 : 4 Tele

Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse, will oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses.
What You'll Do
You, as an RN, will conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans.
Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes.
Building relationships, managing discomfort, staying professional are vital in therapeutic connections with patients and families.
Creating care plans reflecting values aids in resolving issues.
You will help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices.
Assess and document learning needs regularly.
Work with colleagues and community to create a care plan. Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly.
You'll use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff. Recognize limitations and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
Achieve goals through teamwork, recognize contributions, commit to growth. Contribute to peers' development, show community service commitment.

A deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards, as well as procedures.
Know nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines in your area. Understand hospital procedures and rules.

Qualifications
Grad of an Accredited Program
Specialized field of study should be nursing.
A current and valid nursing license.
Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
Candidates MUST have minimum of 1-year recent, full time ICU RN experience. Cardiac ICU and / or Cardiovascular ICU / CVICU specific RN experience preferred.
