The #1 Priority of this position is...
To provide physical therapy as prescribed by a physician, which can be safely provided in the facility and assisting the physician in evaluating patients by applying diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint and functional abilities test.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in carrying out the selected program and procedures.
- Perform routine treatment procedures in accordance with the planned program.
- Responsible for record keeping procedures and charting, ensuring confidentiality of all records.
- Communicate with patient's physician and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Currently licensed in the State of Florida with at least one year of experience under the supervision of licensed physical therapist.
- One year of clinical experience preferred.
- Must have an Associate degree in Physical Therapy or graduated from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written in English. Spanish preferred.
- Able to operate the necessary equipment.
- Have supervision and management skills.
- Must possess adequate ability to calculate necessary percentages for required documentation.

- Flexible as to work schedule. Must be available to work on weekends, holidays & in emergencies
- Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently AND as a team member.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal communications, interpersonal skills and empathetic listening.
- Exhibit an enthusiastic and friendly personality that has aptitude for working with a variety of people.
