Leidos is hiring for a DevOps Engineer / SRE in Columbia, MD. You will serve on a mission-critical project that will leverage your skills to ensure delivery of a premier Security Operations Center (SOC) prototype solution to the customer.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

What you'll be doing :

• Develop and maintain cloud-based and Kubernetes-based prototype environments in support of the prototype development efforts.
• Help lead development of a prototype Security Operations Center (SOC) capability for the customer.

What does Leidos need from me?

• Active Top Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field and five plus years of relevant software development or testing experience.
• Candidate must have at least four plus years of prior relevant cloud engineering experience.
• Relevant certifications may be considered in lieu of years of experience.
• Implementation Experience with AWS or Azure.
• Experience setting up and maintaining Kubernetes-based environments.
• Working knowledge of networking, firewalls, TCP / IP, and a working knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to communicate technical concepts.
• Demonstrated experience with scripting Languages including Python and PowerShell Scripting.
• Proficiency with at least one Database Management System.
• Working knowledge of Agile development and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI / DC) methodologies and tools.
• Strong, self-motivated desire to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and techniques.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Favorable if you have :

• Experience with Cybersecurity products SIEM, SOAR, endpoint security products, or network security products.
• Experience on an Agile software development team.
• DevSecOps experience, service management, and container to cluster migration.
• Bachelor's degree in science, technical, or engineering discipline.
• AWS Cloud or Microsoft Azure Certifications.

Pay Range :

Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
