About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Labor & Delivery (L&D) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour nights Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience License : Required Certifications : BLS, NRP Must-Have : - Minimum 3 years of experience in labor and delivery- Ability to titrate drips such as Pitocin, Mag, and Procardia Job Description : Work in a unit with 15 LDRP beds and approximately 400 births per year.
- Patients include obstetrics, postpartum, antepartum, post-surgical GYN, and pregnancy with hypertension or diabetes.- Follow AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios : 1 : 3, and 1 : 1 for laboring patients.
- Manage standard RT equipment troubleshooting; no additional RT responsibilities required.- No floating required except in critical staffing scenarios, where duties will be limited to sitting or task completion.
- Support from a charge nurse present on each shift who will not take patient assignments.- No tele / monitor techs; reading strips is not required.
- Work every other weekend and fulfill holiday requirements when needed.- Complete 1 week of classroom orientation and 2-3 shifts on the floor.

- No call or standby requirement.- Use EPIC for charting and documentation.
