We’re continuing to invest heavily in building the best creator tools with the best team in the creator economy, and are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to support our mission.

This role is based in New York or San Francisco and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.

About the Role

Lead and contribute to the design and development of user-facing features that power a delightful notification experience for creators and fans across various channels such as email, push, in-product.

Build and maintain APIs that support critical and low latency backend applications used by web and mobile applications.

Comfortable working as a full stack engineer in React, next.js and python environments.

Collaborate with Machine Learning engineers in building value models to optimize notifications.

Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to improve our automated testing and reliability of our notifications platform.

Advocate for best patterns and practices in the areas of system design, performance, observability and testing.

Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, designers, and other engineers to deliver high quality features.

About You :

5+ years of experience in software development

Strong experience with Python or a similar language

Experience with React, next.js, Typescript or Javascript

Experience with SQL.

Understanding of Machine Learning systems.

Solid communication skills with cross-functional team members

Eager to take on new challenges and expand skill set

Build a strong product-minded engineering culture by mentoring and guiding engineers
