Electrical/ Controls Reliability Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
  • Analyze electronics and software technology, resources, and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  • Analyze and solve engineering-related problems with the assistance of subject matter experts within and outside the department.
  • Direct, review, and approve product design releases and change requests. Coordinate all customer and internal engineering changes.
  • Monitor progress against project schedules and budgets; recommend resource allocation to meet goals.
  • Develop, implement, and improve policies, standards, templates, and procedures for the electronics engineering department.
  • Develop evaluation criteria to measure progress and effectiveness of departmental operations.
  • Review department objectives for adequacy and consistency with organizational and corporate objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality, and cost to maintain profitability and competitiveness.
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
  • Promote and enforce a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with applicable legislation and company policies.

Qualifications :

  • 7-10 years of experience in electronics design with embedded software.
  • 3-5 years of prior program management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, motivation, and supervisory qualities.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a Mechatronics emphasis. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Knowledge and execution experience of ASPICE and Functional Safety (ISO 26262).
  • Experience with requirements capture tools like Siemen Polarion, DOORS, or similar systems.
  • Ability to identify industry trends and develop technologies accordingly.
  • Proven ability to create and execute product development plans.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, strong project management abilities, and effective communication skills.
